Roger Avary, who co-wrote with Quentin Tarantino the Oscar-winning screenplay for "Pulp Fiction," has been arrested for vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence after a fatal car crash Sunday west of Los Angeles, reports Reuters.


Andreas Zedini, a 34-year-old native of Italy, who was a passenger in the screenwriter's car, died at a local hospital. The screenwriter's wife, Gretchen, suffered severe injuries, but her condition has not been released.

Mr. Avary, 42, was released from jail on $50,000 bail.
