Celebrity News:
Before I start my blog about the Celebrity Apprentice, I want to tell you about a new internet talk show that just might get picked up by a big network. Help the show get picked up by watching the trailer and 11 episodes. Tell us what you think. So, what’s the show about? I’ll give you just a small hint. . . you’ll see 5 former Apprentice stars on the show. Go to www.vibe180.com and find out. Okay, back to the episode about Piers vs Omarosa!
The episode starts out with Piers talking negative about Omarosa. In fact, he says "she is the most venomous person he’s ever met in the past 25 years". . . it’s hard to believe considering that he is a gossip writer. Piers says that he would never ever work with the female team....he might just be eating his words...the phone rings, and Mr. Trump wants to see everyone in the boardroom. It looks like a little reshuffling is about to happen. So, the first team is Tito, Marilu, Trace, Steven and second team is Lennox, Carol, Omarosa, and Piers. Wow, the battle between Piers and Omarosa will begin now. The task is given in the boardroom, and the task is about sales . . . whoever grosses the largest revenue based on the most horse carriage ticket sales wins the task. During my season, I always liked tasks that were based on pure sales because it was very clear who won and lost. The numbers never lied. When I was project manager on the Universal Studio task, I was very excited to hear that the winner would be based solely on ticket sales. I was a little nervous to go against a team of four females, but I knew that we could create the best sales plan. We ended up winning by over 25 percent, and the numbers certainly didn’t lie. It was a great victory.
Trace is the project manager, and they start making phone calls. Piers is the project manager for the other team and they also start making phone calls. Omarosa is struggling on Piers’ team and he mentions that she is struggling because she doesn’t have contacts like a true celebrity. The next day, Omarosa and Piers have a heated verbal exchange in the van. Piers has her in the corner. He calls her out by stating that she is acting up because she is the only person who didn’t raise any money. Omarosa makes a decision to distract Piers in any way she can. At this point, I’m not sure what’s going on . . . it’s like they are both jockeying for position in the upcoming boardroom. Omarosa continues to mention things about Piers’ family. . . even kids! Yikes, this is definitely overboard. I have two kids, and kids should always be protected from public bashings like this one. I have to side with Piers on this one. . . Omarosa definitely hit him below the belt on this one.
Trace’s team seems to be doing well. They are getting along before the task and all things are going as planned. For Piers’ team, it’s all hell breaking lose. Omarosa is in the face of Piers even after Piers tries to fire Omarosa. It continues and the anger builds even higher. Trace’s team gets Billy Baldwin to show up and go on charity carriage rides with people who bid the highest amount of money. There are fans taking pictures and very intrigued with Billy Baldwin. Side note, it looks like Billy Baldwin is a foot taller than Steven. Hmm, is this where Steven gets small man syndrome? Anyways, on the other team, Piers runs into more trouble with Omarosa. Piers makes an executive decision not to sell any more cheaper tickets so that he can save the supply of seats for his bigger donors. However, Omarosa tries to sabotage this plan by selling cheaper tickets despite Piers telling her not to sell them. This is really getting interesting now. Even Lennox Lewis says that Omarosa has serious venom in her. Wow, this team is really breaking down. As I’m watching this, I ask myself, what would I do in this situation if I was the project manager? First, I don’t think I would have fired Omarosa. I would have had a one-on-one discussion with Omarosa before the task to get her full buy-in and cooperation. If this failed, I would have appealed to her efforts to help the rest of the team. In the end, I probably would have gotten equally frustrated especially if my kids’ names were used to get to my emotions. I really can’t blame Piers for getting so angry in this situation. So the task ends, and the teams are brought back into the boardroom. Piers and Omarosa go at it again, and it seems this argument will never end. Next, Trump announces the winning team, and I’m completely shocked! Trace’s team loses! The producers got me on this one. I was completely shocked that Trace’s team lost the task. Piers’ team won, but it seemed completely unjust, but I guess this happens in business.
